        Entry requirements

        This is a programme for high fliers starting their career. You’ll require a Bachelor’s degree to be accepted on to this programme and up to 12 months work experience.

        Programme overview

        The programme consists of a number of rotations geared to quickly build a rounded understanding of banking principals and practical skills typically lasting over 12 months:

        Rotation 1 – Branch Operations (2 months)

        ·     The collaboration between the branch and operations

        ·     How to continuously improve productivity, quality and customer service

        ·     Process design of operations activities ensuring we have it the right resources in the right place at the right time.

        Rotation 2 – Credit Risk (2 months)

        ·     How do we collate and use data in the decision making process for the Consumer Business

        ·     Key indicators and drivers of portfolio management and how they can be used in monitoring and identifying trends and key risk indicators

        Rotation 3 – Product (2 months)

        ·     Which features and benefits of the products make them effective for different customers

        ·     Customer-centric product development at a specific stage of the development process

        Rotation 4 – Customer Facing Role (6-12 months)
        This rotation will allow you to experience Consumer Banking in a customer-facing capacity. This will include gaining an understanding of:

        ·     The best ways to build relationships with customers

        ·     What makes customer facing staff successful, how they are measured and their challenges

        ·     Meeting the needs of different customers in a particular segment through product bundling or cross selling

        Further training and support

        Our Day 1 Readiness Programme is all about making you successful. It is focused on helping you engage customers and achieve results as early as possible. This programme has been designed to provide you with real, practical and experiences learnt through a simulated branch environment.

        You will be supported throughout your training by your Banking Associate Sponsor, a senior manager in the Consumer Banking business who will be able to advise you and provide useful insights into how you can accelerate your development and performance. This support is in addition to your Rotation Managers and Graduate Programme Manager.
